Either way, keep your posts coming. I value your advice.
In post searing Ascelon, there is a dye trader. The prices they charge fluctuate, but you will generally find out the going prices for each color. From that you can have an idea on how much to charge for the dyes. For the purple, I would have tried 200-250 gold. If noone in the district I was in wanted it, I could bounce between districts until I found a buyer. It usually doesn't take long. I don't do the haggling thing all the time. Only on dye's since it is a severe rip off to sell then to the trader npc.

I use my Warrior/Monk to farm Riverside. I aggro 3-5 white mantle justicars and do this for about 30 mins or until my inventory is full. Normally get about 2,000 gold per run by selling items to the merchant, runes to players, and dyes to dye trader.

Actually it is. Farm areas, get superior runes, sell for 50k. That's making money.

I've had succes in selling services. For instance, many monks have problem getting past the Mirror Test. So, for 300g each I will teach how to beat the mirror in 35 seconds flat. I usually get a 100g tip.

Another way is to sell Escort Tours. After you Ascend you can charg 400 or 500g to escort people around the map. You can make a butt load of money during the Ascension quests. I know one guy who made 80k in 2 days running escort for the River, Dunes, and, Elona Ascension Quests.

Dont play GW then. You've been playing for x number of days, you've been making x number of dollars, continue doing what you are doing to make money, whether that's killing monsters and picking up money, selling items, whatever..

Last night, as I was transferring some stuff to my monk alt and getting ready to log off, one guy in Ascalon City started asking (in caps of course...) how to get the resurrect skill. I sent him a whisper, telling him that he could get it from Grazden the Protector just outside Sardelac. Then he answers "if you take me there i will pay you 1000g". Ok... either this guy has way too much money, or he'll just rip me off ,right? My first thought was to do it for free anyway, so mostly out of curiosity, I take a 3 minute (?) run with him to old ashford, where I explain things for him. I think he was French, and at first he doesn't understand that he has to do the Paulus quest first, so basically he thinks that i screwed him, I guess. He still wants to pay me though... Amazed I accept the 1000g and finally manage to make him understand what to do.

I still can't believe it... For my poor lvl 7 monk this was like winning the lottery. I probably would have refused the payment altogether though, if he hadn't kept writing in caps all the time.

Smile Best Way to Make Money Is this

The best way to make money (well For me) is to rush other people, well most people would think that your scamming but i dont act like that. I ususally charge 500 gold to rush to towns (mostly in the desrt area) with my lvl 20 Warrior/Monk I use mending to keep me healed and sprint to get away,i heal with healing breeze. I usually rush up to 3-4 guys in a group and try to fill it up and i can make around 2,500 gold in one run which can take me only 5 mins depending on what town it is.

Like i said before i do not scam anyone i usually have them pay half before we leave then rest later to insure they dont run off on me. And if they happen to lag out of they leave some reason i put them in friends list till they log back on to finish rush. I rush mostly From "Amnoon Oasis to Agury Rock, To Elona Reach, Thirsty River, And Dunes Of Despair. Sometimes i get lucky and i find someone who is really i need of rush and they pay me 2k a town. I can usually make up to 10 k in 30 mins or so

( But What Sucks is that alot of people spam that im scamming cause they don't believe i can do it with my Warrior/Monk who has 15k armor and Superior Absorption Runes in the armor, and they lol) peopl have to learn to trust some things

Not sure if I have read you statement correctly, but I will explain, in simple terms, what farming is.

Farming is when you go out and kill monsters for their gold, experience points, and most importantly, their items they drop when they die. Some of these items you can salvage so you can get better armor, some will be better weapons for your character to use to inflict greater damage, and other items you can either sell to a trader in towns, or sell to other people who are playing the game and may have a use for those items. Thus you will increase your stockpile of gold to use as you see fit, you will have better armor to survive longer, and you will have better weapons and other items to help you win in your battles against the Char, and the other hostile creatures you will encounter.

at level 7 monk you cant do alot with regards to farming cash or items ... at leas tnot until yaks. So you will likely have to come up with alternative methods ... offering help to company to piken square for 250G might be an idea but time too time consuming. Best bet is to stay fairly broke for now and get to Lions Arch asap. A world or doors will open up for you by then.
